Customize Follower Email Settings?

So I have just realized that when I do a blog post, and the post gets sent out to my followers, they can read the entire post in the email. This causes me to loose viewers registering on my blog and stops them from generally interacting with my site.

How can I customer the email that my followers get so that it is not the full post but a taste of the post and then they have to click to read the full thing.

Any suggestions?
