Customize error: There was a problem when trying to load the customizer

  • When I try to load the Customizer, I get the following error–most often, but not exclusively, when I try to do so from a Single Post:

    There was a problem when trying to load the customizer.
Please open your browser debug tool, and report any error message (in red) printed in the javascript console in the Hueman theme forum.

    The Chrome dev tools console gives:

    Yes, it happens in Firefox as well. Here were the Firefox errors

    and

TypeError: window.top.frames['admin-iframe'] is undefined[Learn More]  previewloader.js:69:5

    Any thoughts on what these errors mean?

    A few notes:
    – The error happens when I click Customize when on a Single Post page
    – If I choose Customize from the Admin->Appearance menu or click Customize when on the homepage, it loads the Customize Preview of the homepage just fine and does not give the ‘There was a problem when trying to load the customizer` error
    – When I am in the Customizer Preview and try to navigate to a post, it just reloads the homepage Customizer preview again and never goes to the post I clicked
    – I don’t get the Single Post option in “Main Body Design” area of Customizer preview

    Any thoughts?

    Sorry, I am not able to replicate your issue.
    It’s most likely to be a plugin conflict.

    Please use the following troubleshooting steps.

    Check your software version.

    1 ) Check if you are using latest Hueman and Hueman Addons plugin, Update them if you are not using latest version.

    Next step is to check for plugin conflict.

    1) If you are using a server cache or cache plugin, please clear it’s cache content and disable caching via it’s settings.

    2) Proceed to disable one plugin at a time, clear browser history and re-visit your customizer. Check if it’s working properly.

    Do this until you find the plugin that’s causing this issue, please replace with an alternative plugin.

    Let me add some info to this ,maybe that helps investigate the issue.
    I get similar error message on my old laptop running Vista. The popup message then disappears within 30 seconds and all the functions work OK:
    On my other, better tech data laptop running Win10 , no popup warning for the same pages. (All circumstances are the same for both laptop,mean host, wifi,router ect.)
