  • Hey Raceman,

It is possible to edit the reports but Wordfence upgrades often adn will probably overwrite your changes everytime. What bothers you on the emails? I find them okay.

Anyway, if you have cPanel or FTP access look inside WPContent -> Plugins -> Wordfence -> Views -> Reports -> activity-report-email.php

Make a backup of the file before you edit it but I think you should rather leave as is.

    Hope this helped you.

    Thank you for the opinion.

I want an authorized method, not a hack of the php files.

the messages that are sent to me are one big block of text and is not easily readable, simple as that.

I want to control the email format, without modifying the plugin php files.

    You are welcome,

I trust WordFence will come back to you soon. ??
Are you using premium or free version?

    Richard,

The messages, aside from the activity report (if enabled), are sent in plain text format, but there should still be line breaks in appropriate places — are the line breaks not coming through?

If you are using Microsoft Outlook for emails, I know they have a feature that removes line breaks, which can make a mess of emails like these, but there should be an option to turn it off, if so. Some other mail clients may do the same.

If that does not help, let me know, and I can put in a feature request. I can’t promise it would be implemented soon, if approved, but it would be considered for a future version.

No line brakes are included in the emails.

I use mac mail. Does not matter, same issue in iOS

I want the ability to Bold the offending username or Italicize the IP address.

At this moment there is NO way to address ANY formatting at all. Thats the bigger issue.

Ok, thanks for the additional details. I have submitted this to the dev team to review.

I can’t promise that every suggestion we get will make it into a release, or when it might be, if it does, but every suggestion we get is evaluated carefully and considered seriously. We value the input we get from our customers. A member of our dev team may or may not reach out to you here to ask for more detail. Thank you for helping to make Wordfence great!
