Customize Color of Sub Menu

    I would very much like to change the background color of the sub menu on my site. When you hover over “Why I Write” two links appear as a pull down. The background color is red, which clashes with the rest of my site.

    I know how to get to Appearance and Customize to add .css; I just don’t know enough of the language to do it myself. Code used to change similar as used for other themes found in the forums doesn’t seem to work with Publisherly (I tried).
