I’ve tried it several times, also did full reset to my page, but nothing seems to help.

After installing Mesmerize companion plugin when I go to the customize page it gets stuck on that “Please wait, this might take a little while”

And I gave it a good 10 minutes to load but it’s stuck in that.

Do you happen to have different wordpress address and site address? I had the same issue and that was my problem.

That actually is the case! Is there any workarounds for that?

Unfortunately, I decided to re-install WP on the root directory. That solved this problem, but I don’t know if you want to do it.

    Hi,

We ran some tests on this and apparently Customizer opens the site address, not the WordPress address. We tested with the TwentySeventeen theme and it behaves the same.

So the reason it gets stuck is because it expects to receive a page that uses the Mesmerize theme but it receives soemthing else (whatever is at the site address).

If you want to have a WP installation separate from your main site you can set both site address and WordPress address to “mysite.com/wpfolder” and it will work.

    Hi there

Both my site address and WP address are alike, and I’m still waiting in my mezmerize “PRO”. Any good ideas on how to improve this?

@ionuttudose Do not do that. Do not send people to your site to ask for admin access. That’s explicitly not allowed here.

I’ve deleted your offer to login to your user’s site. I’m am 100% sure you mean well but please never ask for credentials on these forums.

Now for the why: The internet is a wonderful place full of very nice people and a few very bad ones. I’m sure everyone here is very nice however, by giving some ones keys to your house you are trusting they wont steal anything. Likewise the person who takes the keys is now responsible for the house FOREVER.

If something was to go wrong, then you the author may well legally become liable for damages, which they would not normally have been as their software is provided without warranty.

Please be aware that repeatedly asking for credentials will result in us asking you to repeatedly stop before escalating up to the Theme Review Team.

There are many ways to get information you need and accessing the user’s site is not one of them. That’s going too far.

    • Ask for a link to the https://pastebin.com/ log of the user’s web server error log.
    • Ask the user to create and post a link to their phpinfo(); output.
    • Ask the user to install the Health Check plugin and get the data that way.
    • Walk the user through enabling WP_DEBUG and how to log that output to a file and how to share that file.
    • Walk the user through basic troubleshooting steps such and disabling all other plugins, clear their cache and cookies and try again.
    • Ask the user for the step-by-step on how they can reproduce the problem.

    You get the idea.

Volunteer support is not easy. But these forums need to a safe place for all users, experienced or new. Accessing their system that way is a short cut that will get you into real trouble in these forums.

    Hello,
I am having the same issue. I moved my site to a different domain and now I am unable to open customize. I just checked and both my WordPress address and site address are my new domain name. I ran a script to update those domains through my database but still no luck.

    Any thoughts?

Is there any new info on this issue. I can not even work on my site because customizer will not open. I have upgraded to the latest version of mesmerize and companion but still just says wait forever. The client I am doing the site for is getting impatient so any help would be greatly appreciated. I have deactivated all plugins with no help.

How was this problem solved, as I have the same problem. Please !!
