• Hi,

I have installed Engrave (Lite) and using the preset homepage that includes the feature slider and the 3 content areas. However, beneath that there’s a space for blog entries that I want to change and I don’t know how to do it.

As I’m creating a static site, I don’t need the blog features, so want to replace the area beneath the 3 content blocks with some simple static text.

Can anyone tell me how I do this?

    Many thanks,

    Ross

    Hi Ross,

The content below the homepage featured section can be changed from Setting -> Reading and then check the front page settings to “A static page”. Then simply select the page from your website that you want to display on the front page.

    Thanks.

Ok thanks for the speedy response

Since this thread is titled “Customizing the homepage” I thought I’d pop this in here, but I can also start a new thread. I’ve chosen a static page I’ve already created to be the homepage and can’t for the life of me figure out where and how to change the three icon headed content boxes underneath. They didn’t seem to live in any of the template files and I couldn’t find anything in the “Customize” area of the theme. Do I need to go pro to get the ability to change the icons and text? Thanks, great theme.

Advene, go to Theme Options/Homepage (Content)

There you will find the 3 content areas, where you can change the icon, title, and description.

    I hope this helps.
