Customise comments

Hi

I am busy putting together a site locally, and would like to modify the way that “comments” behaves on the site. At the moment, when a post is opened from a category, the comment form is immediately displayed. Is there a way just to have a link to it?

I would also like to change the wording on it (eg “leave a comment”, as well as customising it so that it looks more like the rest of the site.

I’m sorry if this has been dealt with, but I have been looking and looking!
