customise background color not working

  • My base background color is set to dark blue. My site inexplicably changed to white background today. the base background color is set to darkblue but still renders white.

    I cannot see how it changed or how to force the theme customiser to honour the color I require

    does anyone knows the page background css I want to add custom css to fix this temporarily until I find why it’s happening.

    does anyone have any ideas why this has happened

    I have restored the site from yesterdays back-up and all is well. I have no significant activities logged that I think could have broken the Customiser. I did clone a page to run some firefox compatibility tests which is where I first noticed a background color had changed on the cloned page, I exited that page and then the site had all changed. Throughout the Global base color panel has shown DARK BLUE #0b3c5d even when the site background was rendering WHITE.
