(customisation) variation swatches on shop page

For over 1 year now, i’m using the Woostify theme and it’s a perfect fit.
On single products in the woocommerce store, i use the plugin “Variation Swatches for WooCommerce” to add variations in color of the same product-type.
To achieve the same ‘variation selection’ on the category page (as visible on the website link shared below), i have found a code example (=snippet) on this source :

This seems to be working in a way but i have two remaining minorities :
1) Selecting the variation and clicking the ‘buy’ (=KOPEN) button will add the product in the cart. But throws the message to specify a quantity (happens only on variable product types) =
2) On that modified ‘add-to-cart’ function, i also would like to have the
<div id="shop-cart-sidebar">open up after adding a product to the cart.Can you advise what i can do to achieve this please?
