• Hi,

I’m trying to add a “Branch Details” link to each store result, which when clicked will go to the store’s URL; a detail page containing more info about that store.

I have tried using the code from both sections here https://wpstorelocator.co/document/include-url-in-search-results/ however neither seem to have any effect on the store locator results or map info window.

I have cleared the transient cache, also enabled debug mode afterwards, and turned off any other caching the site has. I have also confirmed that the correct functions.php file is being edited by adding a simple test function which runs fine (it just adds some text to the footer).

    Unfortunately I can’t provide a link as it’s a private development site.

Any ideas how we can test that the WPSL filters are working as intended?

    Thanks

Just following up to say I’ve now tried using the default Twenty Twenty Two theme, with WP Store Locator being the only active plugin, and still those function/filter overrides have no effect.

The code to load a custom template works, but of course that only lets me customise the outer elements, not the results within

    Hi there,

Well, actually wpsl_listing_template is the only supported way to change the appearance and contents of the results when searching locations, so if you have used this filter and it is not working I really don’t know what to say.

I could take a look at the website but since it is a private dev site I guess that is not possible.

Maybe what you can do is write us a support ticket and provide us with your functions.php file so we can try and figure out if there is something there that is preventing the wpsl_listing_template filter from working properly.

I hope we can figure it out.

Should that arrive via email? If so I’ve not received one yet, checked spam folders too. Beginning to think our use of this plugin is cursed somehow ?? ??

What email address or domain should it come from, so I can check our email logs

    Hi again,

The e-mail should have arrived from our support email address from the domain wpstorelocator.co. The ticketing system says the e-mail was delivered, but let me know if you still can’t find it and I will post the solution here hiding any personal details.

    Hi,

Apparently the email had been filtered at my end into a subfolder I’ve not used for years.. so that’s the first lesson learned.

Indeed the stores did not have an URL entered and I hadn’t noticed the if statement in your template code. So of course once I put a URL in, the link displays in the relevant result just fine.

All seems good now. Thanks very much for the help and apologies for wasting your time!

No waste of time at all, we are glad to help!

    Regards ??
