Customisable, Yet Lightweight

It took no small effort on my part to leave Yoast SEO behind, but I am glad that I did. I trialled RankMath because I was critically looking at all plugins to see which may have been slowing my site down. Somehow RankMath has managed to create a suite of SEO tools that has much less of a load time impact than I was experiencing with Yoast.

You can choose which features to activate and, as some were not relevant for my type of website, I only needed a few. And even then, through filters, I was able to remove SEO tests/benchmarks that did not apply to my content or audience.

I mostly use it to ensure all the basics are in place, rather than expecting it to be the only driver in my search traffic. SEO is a complex beast, after all.

But if you’ve been using another plugin and you’re finding it gets flagged as slow-loading give this one a try.
