    Hello,

When customers cannot request a new password, I have to set it for them.

Do you think that it is a real risk to select and easy password ?

For example if customer Email is
    [email protected]

I want to set the password as:
    beautifulgirl

Because it is easier for customers to remember this password.

What is the real risk, and not just the legend ? ??

    Thank you for your help.

  • You may want to do a bit of research on passwords and brute force attempts…

The answer is yes, it’s really bad to have insecure passwords. Easy passwords is the #1 way for user accounts to be compromised across the internet.

Thank you, I understand, but what is the risk if any bot can login in a customer account ? No credit card is stored or anything sensible.

It sounds to me as the hacked wordpress websites legend… when actually if you keep your wordpress and plugins updates, the chance to be hacked are very low…

Sorry if I am wrong but I am trying to understand more.
