All I want to do is take the customers & orders they have placed from one WordPress site to a new one that is being developed as a replacement – but it seems this is either hard, impossible or you have to pay for the privilege. Has anyone done this successfully and simply? How? Thanks.

Hey, not everything in life is free. This will do the job.

Let’s be grateful that WC is free at least.

Easy to say, but when you’re developing for a charity with very little spare cash, even small expenses like this need to be avoided if possible. But also what you’ve said is wrong – I’d need to export tool as well to get the data out, as this one only does the import.

Sorry but that’s a cop out. As someone who oversees 3 charities we budget for things like that. Even charities have to pay for things.

I’m starting to think nobody wants to read in these forums. Read the entire page please. Towards the bottom.

You will have no other chance, than spending 79$ on that one. We did kind of a same thing at the end of last year, but we had to move our customers and their oders from typo3 to WP and WooCommerce. We spend days on it for just writing an correct export and import, because we had to move tables from a confusing mysql database etc. And than you have no other option then paying for some good nice little helpers that get the job done for you.
You can check out WP ALL Import as well

but at least you have to pay

@dougdavis22 – another option would be to use a service that makes a full backup of your site and saves it to a new database. Jetpack offers that option, but there are other providers as well. I don’t know if any of those will offer this for free though.

Given that the solutions have been provided, I’m going to mark this thread as resolved.
