Hi recently I’ve been getting emails from customers saying they keep getting errors when checking out. I recently tried checking out on myself and got this error: PayPal error (10412): An error (10412) occurred while processing your PayPal payment. Please contact the store owner for assistance. This error is new and haven’t seen it before, we also didn’t change anything on the website.

Just to mention that is my Canadian website, our US website is https://www.rexoseal.com, they are the same site. Searched up the error code and told me it means that order number has already been used on my US website. I guess now my question is how do I change the order number on my Canadian website so I can avoid this error again? Thanks in advance.

    Hi there,

Great sleuthing! I’d suggest using a plugin like this one, which will allow you to add an order number prefix for one of your sites. This prefix will ensure that no order numbers will be repeated between the sites. Instead of your order numbers looking like 15, 16, 37, and so on, they could now be US-1234 or CA-1234, for example.

    Best,

    Ross
