When customers try to check out, the below error message appears. Shipping + tax won’t calculate and the ‘proceed’ button is ineffective. I have upgraded to the newest e-commerce version, 3.8.14.1., and when I upgrade to the newest version of the WP FlexiShop theme, the whole site layout gets twisted and messed up and the checkout procedure still doesn’t work.

Any advice? Website is divingcatstudio.com! ^.”.^

  • Hey!! I figured it out!

I unchecked ‘mandatory’ for the shipping address settings, thinking that there might be a hidden problem if the customer chose “Same as billing address.” This instantly went to the paypal checkout page.

Obviously, it would be better to have those settings stay as mandatory, but until there is a fix, this seems to work for me.

Well, this has its problems too…for instance, the email we now receive does not show a shipping address at all. So…still a bit funky, but at least customers can order.

Would love to see a broader solution.

I have version 3.8.14.3 and all it displays on the checkout page is [shoppingcart]. I can’t find a “mandatory” setting under the Shipping address so can’t try that. Help! Any other suggestions? Stu

@stu : The mandatory checkout settings is at your WP-admin dashboard – usually in /wp-admin/options-general.php?page=wpsc-settings&tab=checkout

[shoppingcart] is the shortcode that we use to display the cart and checkout.
