Customers being flagged as spam

Over the past 2-3 days I’m getting multiple reports per day of customers not being able to log in, and being told their login is spam!
My ReCaptcha setup has not changed in over a year, what on earth is causing this and how do I let these customers login?
Disabling the woocommerce login form protection and clearing the cache has enabled them to log in again. So what’s causing them to be falsely flagged a spam I wonder? Bear in mind this has never happened in 1 and a half years, and now I get multiple per day.
Is this a compatibility issue with the latest version of wordpress or woocommerce maybe?
