Customer/Vendor Chat Support

Hello,
I browsed the forum to see if the request for a chat support system between vendor and customer was enabled. The request was made 2 years ago by someone else and the response was that it was in the development queue.
Has this been released as yet? How can it be integrated if so? Also what system is in place for customer/vendor communication? I saw a FAQ and questions section but wasn’t sure how to have it in place?
