We have customers that are on account with us, so payment isn’t required upfront.
How do I set up this up through our website?
For this setup, you can assign a custom user role to the users that have an account with you. You can use a plugin like User Role Editor to create custom user roles. For example, you van create a custom user role named “Has account with the company” and assign this role to the users that have an account with you.
Once you have the custom user role created and assigned, you can change the name of the “Cash on Delivery” payment method to something like “Add to Account”, and then use the Role-Based Payment / Shipping Methods extension to limit the availability of the “Add to Account” gateway to only the users that have the “Has account with the company” role.
