Hi there, a customer tried to order on our website however it failed due to insignificant funds. On the front end it showed them the message “Could not validate nonce” and they got upset about being shown this. Is there away to not show this as it could be seen as offensive.

  • Hi @jakwalker

    Thanks for reaching out!

I understand your concern about the error message Could not validate nonce appearing on your site. This message is a security feature in WordPress and WooCommerce to prevent unauthorized actions. However, I understand that the wording can be confusing or potentially off-putting for some customers.

Currently, the best way to manage this would be to use a custom function or plugin to change the error messages. Unfortunately, custom coding is not something we can assist with directly. However, I’ll keep this thread open for a bit to see if anyone from the community can lend a hand.

If you have any other questions related to development or custom coding, don’t hesitate to reach out to some of the great resources we have available for support. The WooCommerce community is filled with talented open-source developers, and many of them are active on the channels listed below:

    Hope this helps!
