Today a customer placed an order, selected CC payment and then placed order without entering credit card info. I was able to replicate this behavior with a test order as well. When this is done, the following error is generated:

Payment error: Please check your credit card details and try again.

Inventory is not adjusted and the order is marked as pending payment HOWEVER, I do not think this is the proper response to this customer action. If a customer does not enter payment info, the plugin should at least check for input in the CC info fields before sending card info and writing order.

I know we all like to assume the obvious (like a person paying with a credit card would enter their card information), but retail customers tend to be a wacky, untrusting lot. This may also give the customer the impression that he can order a group of items to be “held” until the follow up with payment, which I would think is not the intended purpose of the plugin.

Hello. What you are describing is standard WooCommerce behavior and is not specific to our payment plugin. When the payment fails, WooCommerce saves the order in that pending payment status and this is what you would find with any payment plugin that you might be using. I agree that this is not great, but it is not within our control. I would suggest that you create a ticket with WooCommerce and maybe they will improve it in the future. Thanks.
