Customer Notification when New Order created in admin

So, this seems like the simplest thing in the world, but I just can’t seem to make it happen. When the admin manually creates a new order I would like for the customer to be notified via email.
I have essentially copied the WC_Email_New_Order class that sends an email to the admin and adjusted for the customer’s notification. However, I cannot for the life of me seem to figure out how to trigger this email alongside with the email notification being sent to the store admin.
Any ideas out there?
