We are using the YITH Auctions for WooCommerce plugin (https://yithemes.com/themes/plugins/yith-woocommerce-auctions/) and have an issue where the WooCommerce order automatically created for the auction winner has a PDF invoice where the customer name is “N/A”. This is so even though the entry in the WordPress User database has a “First Name”, “Last Name” in the “Name” section, the “Customer Billing Address” section, and the “Customer Shipping Address” section. The relevant order has been processed, paid for, and marked as “Completed”.

Any ideas on what might be causing this? I fully realize this may be an issue with the YITH Auctions for WooCommerce plugin, but this seemed like the correct place to start as all the relevant customer name information appears to be present…

    Thanks!

Apologies for the delayed response @brucedwilliams

Where does the customer name appear on the invoice? Could you share a screenshot of it please?

Also, is the customer name added manually on the back end via the auction plugin or via a manual order creation? It seems this customer name is different than the name used at checkout

The customer name doesn’t appear at all on the invoice. Screenshot:

The user account obviously has the first name, last name, and email address populated. Screenshot:

When viewing the order in WooCommerce, the customer name is displayed in the “Customer:” dropdown.

Does the first name/last name need to be set in the shipping/billing addresses tied to WooCommerce? That would make sense, but perhaps a fallback to using the first name/last name stored in the WordPress User database is needed for scenarios like ours.

    Thanks for the assistance!

    Hi @brucedwilliams,

As you have figured out, we use the billing and shipping data provided by WooCommerce, so as soon as that data is filled in, you will also see it in the PDF documents.

That said, if you want to use the WordPress user full name as a fallback, we could write a code snippet for you, free of extra charges, if you have a valid license for the Professional extension or the bundle, but please write us at [email protected] for this, because www.remarpro.com does not allow us to provide support for premium products here.
