• Hi,

I am wondering how I can produce a report of how much money each user/customer has spent in my store. When i got to Reporrts > Customers > Customer list it lists all my customers, but it is reporting in accurate figures. It says most of my customers have up to 3 orders and have spent thousands of dollors, when i know most of my customers have only placed 1 order, and each order is about $250 so it makes no sense at all why it says they have spent thousands when they havent.

I should note that all of these orders are made by WooCommerce Subscriptions when a user purchases a subscription on my site.

My boss has asked me to produce a report saying how much money each customer spent, he is doing this for tax purposes or something so i kind of need this or figure out a way to explain why i cant do reports. (im kind of freaking out i can’t possibly imagine why these figures are so out of wack, it makes no sense!!!)

Has anyone got any idea how i can quickly produce a report from woocommerce data? maybe a free plugin, WC is just being stupid right now at the most inconvenient time, i wish it would just work ??

I discovered it was a problem specifically related to WC Subscriptions and didnt affect non subscription orders.

    Hi Julian,

I’m actually encountering the same problem as you. I found your post while trying to lookup a solution to this issue.

Here is what I can tell you…

This problem appears to be limited to the “Customer List” screen of the WooCommerce Reports. I also believe you’re correct that its related to subscription payments in particular.

After doing a lot of testing, I believe the report totals in the Orders report screen (Sales by Date, etc) is accurate. I manually added up our sales for specific months, and then compared it to the sales totals in that screen, and they matched. I should also note that WooCommerce doesn’t include failed orders, cancelled orders or refunded orders in the totals on this screen. That in of itself leads to some inaccuracies, as not all cancelled orders are necessarily refunded. That point aside, I think you can trust the order reports screen.

As for the customer list totals, they are definitely incorrect. I’m not sure if this problem has been corrected yet by WooCommerce and the WC Subscriptions author. I’m a few weeks behind on software updates, so it may have been fixed by now.

Anyways, I hope that helps you. I’m doing taxes too, and am going to use the sales by date totals, now that I feel confident they’re correct.

Please do update this ticket if you learn anything new about this.

    ~ Michael
