    Hi Support,

We have a strange problem occurring when a customer logs into our store.
We use the User Registration plugin for account registration and login functions along with your User Menu plugin to display the customer’s first name in the menu bar once logged in. All is working accept on desktop devices when the customer logs in their name is not displayed but they are actually logged in and it requires a page refresh to populate the name into the menu. This only happens on desktop devices and not consistently which makes it even more frustrating.

We have turned off all caching plugins and clear local cache to test but to no avail.

Please help as this is an integral part of the site.

    Cheers

@globalimageproducts – This means your site is using some type of caching that needs to be set up to bypass when the login cookies are set. wp_logged_in_* cookies for example.

This is a general WP cache issue, likely unrelated to our plugin other than our plugin is the symptom your seeing currently. The issue would be the same if you had customized content within those pages as well.

We are looking at advanced solutions for this but it wouldn’t really solve the issue all around, just our portion of it, and because themes can drastically customize the output of menu items, its hard to come up with a 1 size fits all solution.

Hope that helps. Feel free to reach out at https://code-atlantic.com/contact-us/
