    I received this message from a customer:

    “When I press “Proceed to Paypal” I continue getting the following message…
    “Shipping Phone is not a valid phone number.”
    I don’t understand why. It IS my correct number.
    I’ve attempted various formats…”

    Can anyone help me troubleshoot and solve this problem? Thanks!

  • The core WooCommerce plugin doesn’t have a shipping phone field.

    However, its a common requirement and there are bits of code around the internet to do it or you may have a plugin. It could even be a theme option though my version of Avada doesn’t have it. You’ll need to look in your plugin list and functions.php to see where the shipping phone field is coming from. If its a plugin, check its settings and check you have the latest version of it.

    If you can’t find where its coming from, temporarily deactivate all plugins except WooCommerce and switch to the Storefront theme and check. I expect the shipping phone field will not be there. Now reactivate one-by-one and check to try to identify what’s providing the field.

    Thanks, Torro. I will look for it in various related WooCommerce plugins. In the meantime I suggested she try a different browser and that resolved the issue for now.
