    Hi,

I created an email notification that goes out to the customer after the customer fills out the form. It contains the details they put in the form and a message that we have received their information and will get back to them shortly.

I would like to be able to reply to that same email to continue the conversation. Is that possible?

    Thanks

    Hello @jokubas2000k,

This is possible. Let me guide you through the process. Kindly navigate to your WP Admin Dashboard-> Forminator-> Edit form-> Email notifications. Here I suggest you keep two email notifications. One which would send email to the user who filled it and the second would be for administration purposes.

Click on the Add Email notifications and fill the needed details as you wish to receive it. Then navigate to the Advanced section-> Reply-to Email and Click the + button beside the Reply-to Email field and select the email field where the user would be filling up the email. Now navigate to the recipient’s section and under the recipient’s field, enter the email where you wish to receive the email notification and save the changes. Here are the screenshots for the same:

This way, when you have the email on your email box and you click reply to, the user email would be selected and the conversation would stay under one conversation. Do let me know if it works for you.

    Thank you,

    Hi @wpmudev-support7,

    I followed your instructions.

I created 2 email notifications. Admin Email which I receive after a form submission and Customer Email which the customer receives after submitting the form.

Now if I reply to the Admin Email the reply appears in the customer’s inbox. But it’s a reply to the Admin Email and not the Customer Email. I wanted to be able to reply to the same email that the customer receives. Is that possible?

    Admin Email:

    Customer Email:
    https://ibb.co/st5GYxK

Also, I have a few other questions.

What are the CC and BCC Emails for? What scenario would these be used in?

All of the email notifications that get sent out get marked as “dangerous” on Gmail. I’m not using an Email Address with my domain name yet, is that why?

    Thanks

    Hi @jokubas2000k

You will need to modify the reply-to on your customer email in this case.

Using your admin email so the customer will reply to admin.

The CC and BCC are copies of the email, for example, you would like to send to an extra admin a blind copy.

Forminator also has some nice integration on Forminator > Integration that can be used to manage your customer environment.

Let us know if this worked now.

    Hi @jokubas2000k

    About this:

All of the email notifications that get sent out get marked as “dangerous” on Gmail. I’m not using an Email Address with my domain name yet, is that why?

It can be one of the reason yes, we suggest always using valid emails.
