Customer email not working after plugin update

I just updated to 1.3.76 and the email forms I have set up to be sent to users while awaiting for registration approval are not working anymore. They were working in the previous version of the plugin and the plugin update was the only change I made. Now the users upon registering receives the generic email from wordpress. How do I fix this with the new version?
