    Hi,

We currently do not support Gravity Forms (simply because as we might change the way custom fields are handled, we don’t want anybody to get in trouble).

If you want to create private content from the frontend, we have some add-ons that allow that (Collaboration add-on) and if it does not really do what you need, you can always tell us what you need and we’ll try to find a way to do it.

    Regards,

    Hi Vincent,

Thank you for fast response. Actually I already succeed to publish the post from the frontend to private page. I see the code to find this field.

I will discuss about the Collaboration add-on with my client. Thank you for the info.

I did not say it was impossible, I said that I don’t want to encourage such workarounds as this will open the door to lots of support requests and potential bad ratings because if some day I change the way this custom field is saved, there will be complains and lots of support to handle. Feel free to dive in the plugin code if you want (hint: check out the “Post Owner” add-on in the “includes/core-addons” directory).

Furthermore, that field is greatly dependent on the add-ons that are installed. So if you install the add-on that supports user groups or roles, your gravity form will be broken.

Just to let you know, I already changed that custom field behaviour twice within the last 4 months and this could very well change within a few weeks if I see I can do it better/faster.

I may take some time to make an add-on to support gravity forms, but then I will support it officially and make sure it remains compatible with the latest Customer Area version.

Thank you for your support Vincent. This is very useful plugin.
