customer accounts just disappear from WooCommerce

    Hi!

    I notice that customer accounts just disappear from WooCommerce…
    This will happen within a couple of weeks, and I lost 29 accounts so far…
    I know this because I kept a .csv file.
    Customers can’t log in anymore, so they mail me, I look in the list with customers in WooCommerce and there is no account anymore…
    There are no errors, all plugins are up-to-date, and the theme is up-to-date.

    How is this possible and how do I solve this?

    Thanks for reaching out!

    I understand that customer accounts are being deleted after a few weeks, is this correct?

    This can happen if the Personal data retention for inactive accounts is set with a specific value.

    To check if this is the case, can you please navigate to WooCommerce → Settings → Accounts & Privacy and scroll down to the Personal data retention section.

    Next, check if the “Retain inactive accounts” option has a value set:

    If so, you can remove the value and leave the option blank to retain this data indefinitely.
