    Hi,

I’ve installed your plugin on my website and I tried to configured it but it doesn’t seem to work for me.

    Here is what I did:
    1. Went to Appareance > Widgets
    2. Made sure the Theme sidebars are all selected as “Allow this sidebar to be replaced”
    3. Created a new sidebar called “Custom sidebar”
    4. Inserted a Text plugin for the test
    5. Set the “Sidebar Location” as follow:
    – As Blog sidebar for selected Post Types > this for “Posts” and “Pages”
    – As Blog Sidebar for selected Archives Types > this for “Front Page”
    6. Went to “Pages” and edited one of my pages to display the Sidebar.

    It still does not work.

FYI I’m using the WP in version 4.9.4 and theme “Twenty Seventeen”

Can you please help me finding out a solution for this?

    Thank you in advance ??

  • Hi @pri77y,

    Hope you’re doing well ??

Custom Sidebars works in a way that it replaces the existing sidebar on the page, so your theme actually needs to have code for calling a sidebar on the page in order for Custom Sidebars to be able to replace it.

Now, the thing is that Twenty Seventeen theme is actually “shy” on the sidebars and where they are loaded.
We do have a guide in our forum that explains on how to call sidebars, and after that you can use Custom Sidebars to replace them, check it out here:

    Hope this helps ??

    Cheers,
