Custom Welcome Email for User Role

  • Hello, I want to send a custom welcome email to only users with the role of “Wholesale Customer.” I saw from a forum here that the following was possible with the “Conditionals” add-on, but nothing happens when I test the trigger.

    • I have the trigger set to “User Registration.”
    • The Recipient type is “Email / Merge tag” with the “{user_email}” tag in the Recipient box.
    • For the conditional, I have it set to “Process this Trigger if” the Merge tag is {user_role}” is equal to “wholesale_customer.” I have tried the Value in different formats, such as “{wholesale_customer}” and “Wholesale Customer” but there is no change in outcome.

    Do I have this set up incorrectly? If so, what is the proper way to set this up so that new Wholesale Users can receive a custom email when they are added?

    If I have this set up correctly, then what could be causing this to not work?

    Hi @c8ns ,
    This in general should be a correct setup.
    Where is the “Wholesale Customer” coming from?
    Do they need to confirm their profile registration first, or are they registered immediately?
