Custom Variation Inventory

    Hi,

    can the inventory of the custom products be managed individually? Basically we want to be able to track the available inventory for each item as part of custom products. For example using your skateboard example we want to be able to track quantity of inventory for black, blue and red wheels individually, black and white boards, etc.

    Furthermore we’d love to be able to auto update the inventory as soon as an order is placed.

    If I understand you correctly – you would like to manage inventory of attributes and not individual products/variations?

    No, currently that’s not possible. But it’s an interesting idea ?? I will check out if there are any plugins available that do this and would work with my plugin or if I can add it to my plugin without too much complications. I am preparing another big update – I will see if I can make this work and I’ll try to include it in the update.

    Yes. Basically suppose I have 2 types of wood for my skateboard and 3 colours for the wheels I would like to setup the board as 1 product with A & B types as “sub-products” and similarly Wheels as the product with “red”, “white” and “black” as the sub products of the wheels.

    Then suppose I have 50 of each board type and 20 of each wheel colour, I would like 1 board A and 4 red wheels to be subtracted if an order is placed for an A skateboard with red wheels.

    Would this be something you were open to expediting if there was payment involved? If yes I’d be interested to get in touch to talk about timelines. Im enquiring on behalf of a client who would be open to payment if the amount isn’t too muuch.
