    Hello,

I was wondering if it was possible somehow to create custom user role.
For example : Customer and Customer Trusted

for 1 type of customer we want them to have choice between 2 payment method.
For our 1st time customer they have only 1 payment method (credit card). So we want to hide 1 payment method to them.

    Is that achievable?

Also, is it possible to do product sorting faster than by dragging 1 by one the products ? because we have 200 products, it takes a long time to sort them 1 by one.

    Thank you

  • Hey there, @mmmediterranean! Thanks for contacting us. I’m happy to help you.

Yes, it is possible to do this.

You can use Conditional Shipping and Payments to restrict the payment methods users can use.
This plugin allows you to do this to each customer, so you wouldn’t need to create a new role for them.

But if having different roles is necessary for you, the plugin also allow you to restrict based on it. You would then need a plugin such as User roles editor to create new user roles.

I hope this was clarifying. If you face any issues or have any questions, please let us know so we can assist you further.

Also, is it possible to do product sorting faster than by dragging 1 by one the products ? because we have 200 products, it takes a long time to sort them 1 by one.

Do you mind clarifying what you mean by sorting products? Are you sorting them into categories? Or is it something else?

When we know more about your goal, we will be able to assist you further.

    Looking forward to your reply.

    Have a wonderful day!

    Thank you for your answer.

To clarify the second question, we use Divi + Divi engine to design our store.
on our shop page the only option to organize how the product are displayed is “sort by menu order” which match how products are sorted onto the Sorting tab.

So yes we try to display them per category, but there is no option to do that, so I was trying to sort them in the sorting tab 1 by 1, I was wondering if it was possible to do that in bulk or if there was any solution.

    thank you,

    Hey, @mmmediterranean!

    Thanks for clarifying!

Since you use Divi, and it is a third-party theme and plugin, we are not able to assist you with them. Please reach out to them so they can help you further on this issue.

Please let us know if there’s anything else we can do to help or if you have any questions.

Thank you but this isn’t a Divi issue, it’s the sorting tab in woo commerce products.
See screen shot below for reference.

How do I sort product in bulk instead of moving them up and down one by one, is it possible at all?

Because we have 60+ references so it takes a lot of time to move them 1 by 1 if that make sense.

    Thank you,

    Hi @mmmediterranean,

Unfortunately, WooCommerce does not have this feature built-in. However, you can achieve this by setting the priority for products. To do so, navigate to the Product Data section of your editing screen, then select the Advanced tab. Once there, you’ll need to search for an option called “Menu Order”.

Afterwards, designate a numerical priority for the product within this field, ranging from 0-10, with 0 having the highest importance. In case of two or more products share an equal rating, they will be arranged alphabetically.

Alternatively, you can hire a developer to make a custom solution or use bulk editing and managing plugins like Smart Manager for WooCommerce or Bulk Edit Products, Prices, and Attributes.

I wish I could help more, but hopefully, this gets you going in the right direction to get the job done.
