Custom URL link overriden by MEOW Lightbox
-
Hi!
As mentioned in this previously closed message, any Custom URL linked to an image is being overridden by MEOW Lightbox. That’s very weird.
So you need to put an anti-selector code (nolightbox) to each picture with a custom URL to avoid it, and let the visitor go to the custom URL linked to the picture he’s clicking.
That works, but I find no way to automate the update of my hundreds of pictures with Custom URL set.
I’ve been looking for a specific class the theme would have by chance added to these pictures, for no luck.
In the previous message I was pointing, @thomas wrote:
In this situation, you could first make sure that your theme is not already giving a specific class to images linking outside of your domain ( or on the wrapping a element ), and if not, then you could always add it programmatically, for example via Javascript? ie. checking for all images if they have are wrapped in a link pointing outside of your domain, and if so give them a specific class.
I’m not developer, I don’t know what this JS would look like. All I know is the theme allows to add Custom JS, which could probably be used to charge some JS code to solve the problem.
In the example provided, the 1st picture gets no custom URL (so Lightbox is doing fine), the 2nd one yes, and clicking in it should open a new tab to visit the related web site.
Any help appreciated. In other case, I’m afraid I’ll have to find another Lightbox extension (if not the whole set of Gallery+Lightbox).
