Custom translation

Hi everybody!
We are using custom translation on our site where we use Easy property listing plugin. Our customer needs a little different finnish words than there is, in the plugin’s finnish translation file. Now, everytime the plugin gets a new update, the translation file gets override. I put the file to /wp-content/languages/plugins/ folder which usually works. Is there any way to keep our translation valid after the plugin update?
