• Hello,

I’ve been using URE to grant users access to certain options and it’s been working great. Unfortunately there is that one option that I need to grant access to but there is no way I can grant access other than making the user admin. I’m talking about custom theme options (the theme options panel is under admin.php?page=panel). I’d really hate to make the user admin since they could accidentally change important settings. Is there anything that can be done? I already asked the authors of the theme if there’s any way to give a custom capability to users other than admin but they didn’t have anything to suggest.. Any ideas? And thank you for this plugin!

    Hello,

The answer depends how developer uses that capability. If he uses it only on the menu level, it is possible to change it to other capability on the fly with help of “Admin Menu Editor” plugin. But if theme check the same capability somewhere inside that page, only direct editing theme files could help.

    Regards,
    Vladimir.

Thank you for your quick response! I already tried Admin Menu Editor plugin but it still gave me the You don’t have the necessary permissions page. I just can’t find which theme file should I edit but I guess I should ask that to the developer of the theme…
