Custom text block returning added slashes

  • I’m using this plugin to add gift information on orders.

    There is a box for customers to add their own message for us to handwrite in a card.

    The order confirmation email is adding in back slashes in front of apostrophes and I’m getting customers emailing me worried their message will be written wrong. For example, I’ve is coming back as I\’ve.

    Please can someone help?
