Custom text at the bottom of the Shipping section of the Totals box on cart page

    I would like to place some custom instructions at the bottom of the shipping section in the “Totals” box on the cart page.

    The issue is that for some customers, the shipping rates don’t automatically populate until they click the “Change address” link and specify their city and state. In these cases, a fallback shipping amount displays which may be higher than the customer needs to pay.

    It would be helpful if I could include an instruction paragraph above the Totals box to tell customers to update the change address link to see all the available rates. Example below:

    Hi there,

    The section of the page you are indicating in your screenshot comes from the /woocommerce/templates/cart/cart-shipping.php file. In that file, there is a list of different conditions to check for different settings / address / etc and show different text/content for each one. Some cases have filters that would allow you to add text to the end, but not all of them.

    If you wanted to add text there to always display, it would be easiest to override the template file via a child theme and then add your custom text there. We have information about overriding template files here:
