I am running into problems creating custom templates for custom post types using Visual Composer. I have been following this tutorial: https://toolset.com/documentation/user-guides/using-toolset-with-wpbakery-page-builder/create-templates-for-custom-post-types/

I have installed the plugin and created a Custom Post Type. When I go to the Toolset Dashboard, I can see the CPT and for Template it says “single.php”. The tutorial states that there should be a button for ‘Create Content Template’, however there is no button displayed at all.

I added a custom field for this Post Type. After doing so, when I view the Post Type in the Toolset Dashboard, under Template it now says “Your theme’s template file for displaying L page items is missing custom fields.” and displays a button for “Resolve”. Clicking the button produces a popup/modal window with “Toolset plugins let you design templates for single items (L page pages), with all the fields that you need to display.” and a button for “Learn about creating templates with Toolset”. Clicking that button takes me to the tutorial referenced above… so as you can see, it’s all 1 big circle with no viable solution.

Can you please instruct me how to get to the ‘Create Content Template’ button as referenced in the tutorial.

That Document refers to something achievable only with other plugins, which are part of Toolset.
The Toolset is a set of paid plugins, which I cannot assist or else “Support” here, it’s against the support rules of WordPress.
Support and other details are all handled on the website of Toolset.

With Types alone, it is not possible to do what is shown on that Document.

The Types plugin as you find it here will be removed by end of this year, I would recommend to not use it for projects anymore unless you plan to maintain it yourself later on your site.
