Custom template page get_header issue

    I created a custom template page within the template folder and have some code linking it to a specific url. When I add get_header and get_ footer to the page, the navbar and banner image are missing. Everything else is there, including page layout, style, and even site title on header. Any idea how to fix this?

    Figured out the navbar portion: I was calling my template page through init earlier than the menu was being registered.

    Still can’t figure out this header image thing. I’ve narrowed it down to coming from .site-header within /inc/custom-header.php

    Figured it out! Needed to call on wp_loaded instead of init. Things were being called too early.
