custom template not loaded

hey,

I am trying to make a custom template for the shop page so followed the steps as listed :
– added support for genesis connect in child theme’s functions.php file (at the bottom of the file, don’t know if that’s important)
– copied the GCfW archive-product.php file to wp-content/themes/eleven40-pro/woocommerce

added a simple class to a div to see if it is working but it looks like the custom template isn’t being loaded…

Using latest version of Genesis 2.0.1 and Eleven 40 Pro child theme…

Any clues?
