    Hi,

I was using version 3.2.1 and have created a custom template, by copying the simple template and modifying to me needs. (Like my-theme/wprm-templates/recipe/my-template )
    That worked very well!

Today, I’ve updated from 3.2.1 to 4.0 and I see that my custom template is not working anymore.

    I haven’t changed anything else.
I think that the CSS and PHP files in my child theme directory custom template are not recognised after the update.

I see that in the new version there is a subdirectory named legacy.
I tried creating the same structure in my child theme ( my-theme/wprm-templates/recipe/legacy/my-template ) but the results were the same.

    OK,

Now I see that in the new simple template you’re using shortcodes instead of WPRM_Template_Helper:: class.

I’ll study the new simple php file, and fix my custom template php file respectively.

But again, the migration for a custom recipe template from 3.2.1 to 4 ought to be smoother.

    Hi there,

The update should not have affected your template. If you were using WPRM before it should default to “Legacy Mode” on the Recipes > Settings > Recipe Template page, which should still support any custom templates that were made prior to 4.0.0.

Your custom template is not working in Legacy Mode?

If you want to build a new one, I recommend having a look in our new documentation:
    https://help.bootstrapped.ventures/article/84-create-your-own-template

    Kind regards,
    Brecht

    Problem fixed.

I don’t exactly how but now I see the recipes are based on my custom template.

    Don’t ask how! I don’t really know.
