Custom template image path

    I develop the WP site locally using the local host and MAMP. When I move the site to a remote server the duplicator plugin updates the media library image path from local host to the domain url. When I move the site from remote server to local host the duplicator plugin updates the media library image path back to localhost.

    The custom template header image uses a stand alone img tag which does not get updated when moving the site from local host to live server or vise versa.

    Which WP function allows the image path to update automatically when moving the site back and forth from local host to remote server?
