    I tried to customize epta_template_1.php by copying it to template folder as suggested in the file, but it doesn’t work.

    Hi @alyens

    Are you referring to theme template folder to override this template?
    If yes, then sorry for the inconvenience but our plugin doesn’t provide this feature.

    You must have to edit the main template file in the plugin to do all your custom changes.

    If I am misunderstanding your query, do let me know.

    I followed what is written in the epta_template_1.php file … where is suggested that if you copy the file under single-event.php in the theme folder you can customize the file.

    the problem is that after doing any update to the plugin it will rewrite the epta_template_1.php file and we lose all the custom modifications to the file.

    Sorry, for the misunderstanding from the comments in the file.
    But for the template customization, you have to write the code in template file only and need to update every time you update the plugin as you mentioned above.
