custom taxonomy URL
-
I would like to know if it is possible to have a custom taxonomy url/page. I know the terms for the custom taxonomy get a page but it seems as if the taxonomy itself does not.
EXAMPLE
custom post type equals movies
custom taxonomy equals movie_categories.
For the sake of this post lets assume the rewrite rules are all correct. and we can get to a list of horror movies by going to the following urlmydomain.com/movies/categories/horror/ This page can be created with the taxonomy-movie_categories.php page template.
What I am asking for is, is it possible to have a page template set up for
mydomain.com/movies/categories/ Here I would want to list all of my movie categories. I know I can make a new page and create a page template for it, but then I would be stuck with something like mydomain.com/movie-categories/ since I couldn’t really have a page called movies and a subpage called categories without some sort of slug interference somewhere on the site.
