Custom Taxonomy Term Homepage Template

I’m trying to figure out how to create a custom taxonomy term template which will let me display multiple posts from different categories all tagged with the same taxonomy term – in effect a homepage template for each custom taxonomy term.

I don’t want to create individual custom taxonomy templates for each taxonomy manually (i.e taxonomy-{taxonomy_slugname}.php. ) but rather a template which will automatically pull the relevant posts for any taxanomy select.

We have 5K+ different terms under the custom taxonomy so we don’t want setup each one manually and we can’t use the default archive.php because we have other custom taxonomies using that.

Any ideas how to create?
