Custom Taxonomy Term Archives

I have created a custom taxonomy called “policy-portfolio” which has a few extra metafields and is used to classify various other CPTs and also the Post and Pages.
The tax uses a rewrite to “policies”.

I would like to have an Archive Page of the Taxonomy, where all terms ( and their custom fields would be shown ) and also a Taxonomy Term Archive were all related CPTs would be listed.

Is this doable with Auto Templates ? Is there documentation or example for something like this or is it something i will have to do with .php and a child theme ?
