Custom taxonomy showing but disabled in post_type edit screen

    I am using CPTUI plugin to generate post_type and taxonomy. But today when I went to edit an article, I couldn’t add or remove categories for my article. The list of categories is still displayed but disabled.

    I am using classic editor for my editor

    Can you help me?

    Has anything changed between the two times when you could or couldn’t edit? Any sort of updates applied to the website, for any plugin, or perhaps WordPress core? User changes?

    Nothing I can think of between two days where absolutely nothing changed would cause this.
