    Hello.

I created a custom taxonomy with a key name ‘rubrika’. I would like to get rid of the slug rubrika and display only the term name.

    example.com/rubrika/term_name(archive page)
    to
    examples.com/termn_name(archive page).
How to do it? I found that I can edit rewrite rules, but I can only insert my custom slug or disable the permalink structure at all.

    Thanks.

OK, I wrote ‘/’ to the input for custom slug and now the slug ‘rubrika’ is gone. Is it good approach?

No it isn’t the right solution. Now pages return 404.

Sure, adding / as the custom slug is the solution to your issue.

Could you please refresh Permalinks and let us know if this resolves the 4040 issue? WP Dashboard->Settings->Permalinks-> click Save

    Hello.
I just created a brand new WP testing installation, tested it, and it does exactly the same.

Once I set ‘/’ to the slug field, my page’s permalinks stop working, returning 404.
It’s not probably related to your plugin because it does exactly the same thing when adding custom taxonomy with code. I don’t really know what’s going on. Tried many custom codes to solve this without any luck.
