custom taxonomy permalink not working if post type has custom rewrite

Hi,

I have a custom rewrite slug on my product post type set as design-gallery
(using CPTUI)

my product permalink shows as expected

https://localhost/design-gallery/%postname%/
has_archive: true / with_front: false

and i can go to https://localhost/design-gallery/some-product

however I ticked “Use custom permalink of custom taxonomy archive. (/post_type/taxonomy/term)

but in this case the post_type does not pick up the rewrite slug
therefore this doesn’t work for my archive as required
https://localhost/design-gallery/material/canvas
and only this seems to work
https://localhost/product/material/canvas
